Big Max Sliders
Ingredients:
1 package of 12 dinner rolls
2 lbs ground beef
1 small yellow onion, minced
12 slices American cheese
1 C shredded lettuce
12 dill pickle slices (or more to taste)
1/3 C thousand island dressing
2 eggs, whisked
1 TBL toasted sesame seeds
1 TBL butter, melted
2 TBL Burger Seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, burger seasoning, and egg. Mix until combined. Adjust seasonings to your preference. May add salt and pepper if desired.
- Divide meat mixture in half. Form 2 rectangles that are slightly larger than 6 dinner rolls.
- Put the 2 rectangles on a cookie sheet side by side. Top with additional minced onion if desired. Make sure rectangles are even thickness so they cook evenly.
- Bake for 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Separate the 12 dinner rolls into 2 sets of 6 rolls each. Slice the entire set of 6 buns each down the center so you have bottoms and tops.
- Spread about 2 TBL of thousand island dressing on each of the tops and bottoms.
- After meat is cooked, if needed blot any grease with paper towel before placing meat patties on each of the bottoms.
- Spread a bit more thousand island on top of each meat patty.
- Evenly place cheese slices across all the meat.
- Put tray back into oven for a couple minutes just until cheese melts.
- After cheese is melted, sprinkle minced onion over the entire patties. Then top with pickles and lettuces. Finally add the bun tops.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds over top.
- Cut the burger into individual Big Max Sliders.
- Serve warm and enjoy!!
