Holiday Bacon Crack
Ingredients:
1 1/2 sleeves of saltine crackers
1 C butter
1 C brown sugar
2 TBL maple syrup
1 C cooked, chopped bacon
1/2 C dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line full size cookie sheet with parchment paper. Careful to cover sides of pan as well.
- Lay out single layer of crackers on parchment, covering entire bottom of pan. Break some in half if needed to cover entirely.
- In medium saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar and maple syrup over medium heat until fully combined and smooth. Careful not to boil.
- Pour sauce evenly over crackers and top with crumbled bacon.
- Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Melt dark chocolate over double boiler, stirring frequently until smooth.
- Drizzle chocolate with a drizzle spoon over the bacon.
- Refrigerate until hardened.
- Remove parchment paper and break apart with hands into individual brittle bacon crack pieces.
- Try not to eat it all yourself!
